Data is Everywhere
▶ Systems collect masses and masses of data, not all of it directly related to the
application we are using
– Syslogs
– Performance logs
– File and disk metadata
– Customer IP addresses
– Memory soft errors etc. etc. etc.
▶ This is all data stored on our system that we never look at
