David Maxwell is the Senior Director of Finance for the City of Savannah. His
responsibilities include overseeing the City’s Accounting Services, Purchasing
Department and the Revenue Department. The Revenue Department is
responsible for business taxation, alcohol licensing, billing and collecting excise
taxes, property taxes and utility bills. David has spent 18 years with the City of
Savannah with the last 6 in his current role. He has lived in Savannah since
1996 and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia
Southern University. David is also a certified public accountant licensed in
Georgia.
