“I’m going to do it!” In his excitement, Carl forgot all the

other pineapples were sleeping; they would always sleep

even in the daytime. Carl was a little embarrassed, and

his cheeks were blushing red. He looked around

sheepishly only to find out that all the other pineapples

were still snoozing away.

“I’m leaving tonight,” said Carl, “I’m doing it!”

“If I hop in the river right now, and all goes well, I’ll be at

the beach by sunrise.”

So, hopping in the river and leaving his home in the

jungle behind, Carl set out on his journey to discover the

world. Carl was very excited.
