“Wait!” said Carl. “I see something. What is that?” He asked himself.

Carl spied a ship of some kind out in the water. It would be the first of

many ships that Carl would see.

“Maybe it’s a pirate ship carrying chests full of bright gold and treasure,”

Carl said to himself. Carl imagined himself as the captain of the ship.
