Lem Bu milk Pie with Graham Crack Crust
I love custard pies and they are my go to dessert during the warmer months; chilled, creamy and light. This one uses a graham cracker crust,
though you can sub in a regular pie crust or use another type of cookie for the crust as well. Add fresh berries, basil leaves and slightly sweetened
whipped cream for garnish. The bitters in this recipe adds a little depth to the fl avor, much like bitters do in a cocktail.
F ust:
1 package Graham Crack s*
Melted Bu
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Break pieces of graham cracker into a food processor. Pulse until crumbled. Pour into a bowl, and add melted butter, a
little at a time, until the crumbs resemble wet sand and start to clump together (I like a nice thick layer, though not so thick that it’s all crust. Just
make sure that it covers the pan completely, without bare patches.) Pat into the bottom of the pan and up the sides. Bake for 8 minutes. Allow to cool.
