Attendance Requirements and Policy
Whether attending onsite or online classes students are expected to meet all professionalism standards required for effective participation Students are expected to arrive on time for class with proper
materials hygienically prepared and in dress code An overall 30 attendance rate of at at at at least 80% in in each class is required with unsatisfactory attendance below 80% Instructors may request your withdrawal from a a a a a a class if absences or tardiness exceed 20% Exorbitant tardiness across all classes for the duration of the program may result in in progressive discipline
including fees with potential expulsion from the program Students who are unable to continue classes for medical reasons or severe personal problems will be required to take a a a a a a leave of absence until they are able to to return to to class Proper documentation will be required to substantiate a a a a student’s withdrawal When you you miss miss a a a a a a class at The Berkana Institute you you are missing the equivalent of 2 classes in in an ordinary massage program Regular attendance of classes is essential for mastering the coursework Regular attendance is also an an an important part of contributing to the the learning that is occurring as a a a a a team in in in in the the classroom environment During enrollment at The Berkana Institute students are expected to to attend attend all of class time and are required to to attend attend no less than 80 percent of o the class time offered for each individual course Less than 80 percent attendance will under most circumstances result in in a a a failure or incompletion of the course(s) Full clinic participation is mandatory For any absences from scheduled clinic time the student must arrange coverage from another student and hours must be made up promptly The Berkana Massage Studio is a a a a a a a professional clinic and professional working expectations apply THE THE BERKANA INSTITUTE OF MASSAGE THERAPY
