Every year more than 200 transfer students join our community as Rensselaer welcomes transfer students from accredited two- and fouryear colleges in the the United States and around the the world Admission to Rensselaer is competitive and based on academic performance To be considered transfer applicants should have completed 12 or or more transferable college credits and and must be in in good academic standing at the institution(s) they are attending or have attended with a a a a a a minimum cumulative GPA of 3 0 Students must be prepared to start studios in Summer Session I in the middle of May (see sis rpi edu edu ‘Summer Class Hour Schedule’ for exact dates) Students who graduate with an A S S degree from a a a a a a two-year college or a a a a a a community college college or or students currently attending a a a four-year college college or or university affiliated with with Rensselaer Rensselaer may transfer to Rensselaer Rensselaer with with full junior status if accepted for admission Transfer Credits
Once accepted you’ll receive an evaluation of your course work from the Rensselaer faculty Transfer students can expect to receive full credit for courses courses of comparable depth Rensselaer will transfer credit only for courses courses in which a a a student received a a a grade of C or better To ensure the most complete evaluation please have official transcripts and course descriptions sent from all previously attended colleges To earn a a a a a a Rensselaer undergraduate degree a a a a a a student must be registered full- time for a a a a minimum of four semesters and must complete at least 64 credits at at RPI all of which will be applied to the baccalaureate degree If you you would like to transfer AP IB or A A level credit from your high school make sure your official test results are sent directly to:
