          Motivating young people to revise is a tough thing to do, so we hope that by reading through
          this section of the booklet your son / daughter will pick up some tips which will help them study
          in a more effective way and increase the amount they learn.
          Working through this booklet should enable you to:

          1. Identify what type of learner they are

          2. What strategies suit their learning style

          3. Draw up a revision timetable for their study day
          4.  Draw up a schedule for their revision sessions taking place at school

          5. Try out different study techniques at home

          6.  Ensure they are organised and have the right resources to hand
          7.  Produce a mind map (spider gram) to help them
            summarise their notes

          8. Use their memory more effectively
          9. Create different mnemonics to help them learn more effectively

          10.Check out new websites which help can help them revise.

          Remember also that there are many people willing
          to support your son / daughter.

          If you feel they need additional help with
          studying, ask their teacher, ask your friends
          or other family members.
