WHAT IS STYLE IN ARCHITECTURE
Character-defining elements include the overall shape of the building, its
materials, craftsmanship, decorative details, interior spaces and features, as well
as the various aspects of its site and environment. Understand about style and
character in architecture is very space planning. Since style in architecture will
create special character and image to space that the students planned. An
architectural style is characterized by the features that make a space, building,
other structure notable or historically identifiable. It is a sub-class of style in the
visual arts generally, and most styles in architecture related closely to the wider
contemporary artistic style. Contemporary architecture is the architecture of the
21st century. No single style is dominant; contemporary architects are working in
several different styles, from postmodernism and high-tech architecture to
highly conceptual and expressive forms and designs, resembling sculpture on an
enormous scale.
