SPACE PLANNING – SUMMARY








             Space planning is one of the fundamental element in architectural

             design process.


             1.     Begin with in depth analysis on the space going to be used



             2.     Identify the nature of activities going to occur in the space design.


             3.     Develop the bubble diagram to study the strength of relationship between

                    the activities in the building designed.



             4.     Student then draws up a plan that defines the zones of the space and
                    the activities that will take place in those zones.



             5.     Define the circulation patterns that show how people will move through the

                    space.


             6.     The plan is finished by adding details of all the furniture, equipment and

                    hardware placement.
