Along the Mortimer Trail
16, 17, and 18 June
A special opportunity to walk the thirty miles of the Mortimer Trail from Kington to Ludlow over three days.
Please book these four walks together until 1st April when any individual spaces remaining will be available.
Meet Kington on 16th and 17th June and Leominster on 18th June. Map Ref B5 and E4

Cost Adult £15.00, Child £10.00 each walk, inc transport
Along the Mortimer Trail – Day 1 Kington to Byton
Saturday, 16th June 2018, 9.30am to 4.30pm Distance 10.5 miles
From Kington, climb up and over Rushock Hill with good views into Wales. Pass through Titley before ascending Wapley Hill to view the hill fort remains.
Along the Mortimer Trail – Day 2 Byton to Croft Castle
Sunday, 17th June 2018, 9.30am to 4.30pm Distance 10 miles
Ascend over Byton Common and walk through Shobdon Hill Woods. Descend into the Lugg Valley and follow the river to Aymestry. A steady climb to Yatton Hill and towards Croft Ambrey then down to Croft Castle with its wonderful avenue of trees.
Along the Mortimer Trail – Day 3
Croft Castle to Ludlow
Monday, 18th June 2018, 9.30am to 4.30pm Distance 11 miles
Climb up to Bircher Common via Fishpool Valley. Skirt around Richards Castle via Hanway Common and High Vinnals with hopefully good views into Wales. Then into Mary Knoll Valley before descending to Dinham Bridge with great views of Ludlow Castle.
