We have already inherited many archival items collected since the first association in 1983 while we have a vesting document from the creation of the current charity in 2017 (reg. no.1173575) passing the legal ownership to the new association, we have no accurate records of

With regards to the BNTVA Branch records we know there will be some missing so this is an appeal for anyone who has any documentation from the past associations or branches. Can we please have them back to be put into the main archive, in order for them to be digitised and audited?

Unfortunately, this success story doesn’t always happen, and Wesley has found a few collections of photographs with no name attached. Reading through back copies of the BNTVA magazines has enabled him to identify some photos, but not all of them.

We can’t guarantee we will be able to repatriate everything, but it will put us in a stronger position if we try.

65th Anniversary of Operation Buffalo, Maralinga
Kerry-Leigh Grist, Assistant Curator at the Science Museum London would like to ask you if anyone has any information about the below model?
Kerry-Leigh has found this model of a Vickers Valiant described as a ‘test’ model. (Writing on the box says ’model No9’) Our curator pointed out that it bears a striking resemblance to the models used at Operation Buffalo to simulate a megaton explosion.
