Ruinart
Purity, luminosity and elegance - characteristics of the Ruinart taste.
Chardonnay is the golden thread running through the Ruinart ‘taste’ and is the very soul of this iconic Champagne house. The grape, mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs, is at the heart of all cuvees, with its fresh aromas, vivacity, purity and luminosity.
Nicolas Ruinart, a Reims draper like his father, started his first account ledger devoted to ‘wine with bubbles’ on September 1st, 1729. This ledger serves as the birth certificate for the first Champagne House ever created. The first bottles of ‘wine with bubbles’ produced were intended as gifts for Ruinart's clients who purchased cloth and fabric.
However, Nicolas was a sophisticated businessman and he had adopted his uncle's pioneering vision and ambition for the triumph of this wine style and just six years after the initial bottles were produced he found success.
‘R’ de Ruinart
‘R’ de Ruinart is the epitome of freshness and balance with generous proportions of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Visually, its radiance is crystalline with a shimmering yellow colour and golden hues. The nose is delicate and fruity displaying dominant aromas of fresh white pear and dry fruits such as hazelnuts and almonds, followed by white flower notes, Viennese pastry and buttered brioche.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs
Jasmine, lemon, citron, pineapple, peach, pink peppercorn, ginger, cardamom, all these aromas are found in Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, a champagne made exclusively from Chardonnay with an exceptional aromatic palette.
Ruinart Brut Rosé
Intense, fruity and aromatic, Ruinart Rosé owes its sensual elegance to the marriage of
Chardonnay mainly from the Chardonnay Premiers Crus of the Côte des Blancs, and Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims and Vallée de la Marne, made into red wine. The nose is fresh and subtle, ripe with cherry and freshly picked red berries, followed by a splash of flowers and spicy notes.
Dom Ruinart
“The 2002 Brut Dom Ruinart is a huge bouquet of smoke, roasted almonds, nutmeg and graphite melts into layers of huge, exotic, super-ripe fruit. The 2002 has more than enough pure density and richness to fill out its broad shoulders nicely. It remains a big, powerful wine endowed with tons of pure structure.” 97 Points, Antonio Galloni for The Wine Advocate.
Dom Ruinart Rosé
The Dom Ruinart Rosé 2002 presents a vibrant, a deep coral with delicate coppery tones, as well
as a fine and persistent effervescence. The primary aroma of this vintage champagne is surprisingly intense and complex. Notes of exotic fruits (guava) and citrus (blood orange, citron) intermingle with floral aromas such as violet and rose, with a touch of musc – Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
