Easier Access Routes
This guide aims to give general information for people to make their own choices,
depending on their individual requirements and mobility aids.
The majority are accessible for a standard wheelchair/pushchair/small mobility
scooter, at least for a large part of the site, marked .
A slight or short slope/rough surface is marked . Other mobility aids, all-terrain
wheelchairs, buggies and mobility scooters will have more choice.
Most of the routes listed here are short and have good, firm, reasonably level surfaces.
None have stiles, but some may have gates and a few include some steps listed in the
descriptions. Some large kissing gates have a RADAR lock fitted to them, opened by
a RADAR key to let a wheelchair, or a mobility scooter through.
To gain further information there are links to websites, details for Visitor Information
Centres and phone numbers. Online map pages offer Street View which is also useful
to view routes on streets and roads.
More information on many of the easier access routes
and attractions can be found at the link below.
