 Walk 2 Crickhowell’s Three Pens
 Quiet paths, high ridges and panoramic views

 TIME 6 hours
 TERRAIN Farm tracks and fields, grassy paths, open moorland, easy stream crossings, sometimes muddy. Summer bracken can obscure the ascent path. Not dog-friendly, at least 8 stiles without dog gates.
 REFRESHMENTS None on the route – keep a noble thirst and appetite for the finish in Crickhowell!
A little-used approach to the rim of Cwm Mawr and Pen Gloch-y-pibwr, then fine ridge walking to Pen Allt-mawr and Pen Cerrig-calch, with Table Mountain as a bonus summit on the descent to Crickhowell.
FromCRiC A turnrighttowardstheBearHotelandturnleftalongtheHighStreet.Turnrightalong the alley opposite Cashells the Butchers and pass the library and church. At the main road, cross to the school car park and take the path to the right of the school buildings, cross a stream and follow the path to a housing estate. Follow Everest Drive, ignoring side roads, up to the A40 main road. Cross at the Zebra crossing and turn left along Brecon Road for 150m.
