Dogs
Well behaved dogs of all shapes and sizes are very welcome at Glanhenwye Courtyard Cottages.
We have provided a basket with some doggy towels in the hallway and there are outside taps for washing muddy paws. Please leave any dirty towels in the hallway when you leave so we can give them a good wash.
We do ask that you clear up after your dog
and ensure that they do not roam around the grounds unattended or into neighbouring fields. Please be aware there is currently no secure boundary fence in place. You’ll find a black plastic dustbin for well tied-up dog poo bags.
At the back of this folder is a separate dog rules sheet which is standard for all holiday properties. Please read it and in particular note that no dogs are permitted to lie on beds or soft furnishings.
We hope your dog has a lovely holiday as well.
Smoking
We have a non-smoking policy at Glanhenwye. If you would like to smoke, please do so outside and dispose of any butts responsibly.
Shops
The nearest shop is at Glasbury Filling Station
- come out of the courtyard or driveway and turn left. At the main road (A438) turn right and follow the road into Glasbury and over the River Wye. The petrol station is on your left. Here you will find newspapers and basic foods and it also has a Post Office counter.
For more choice, the nearest supermarket is
the Co-op in Hay-on-Wye. Turn left out of the cottages, left again at the main road and follow the A438 to Clyro (about 4 miles). Turn right here signposted to Hay. Cross the River Wye bridge and turn left at the T junction. The Co-op is about two hundred yards along on the left.
There are also numerous other speciality shops including a deli, butchers and greengrocers in Hay itself – and of course, loads of bookshops to explore!
All the major supermarkets will deliver to the cottages. Please use your cottage name and our full postal address when arranging the delivery:
