Check-in / Check-out
When you arrive, we’ll be on hand to make sure you’re familiar with the cottage and answer any questions you’ve got.
If we’re not here, we’ll arrange to meet you as soon as possible to ensure your stay with us goes smoothly.
Key Safe
There is a key safe under the arch by the climbing wall. Please feel free to use this during your stay. The combination number will not change while you’re here – and you’ll find the code on a card in the front of this folder.
Check out
Check out time is 1030. Please help us by taking out all the recycling and rubbish (see section on where to put your rubbish) and making sure the fridges are emptied. If you’re leaving early, please let us know.
If anything has got broken or damaged during your stay, please let us know before you leave so we can make sure it’s fixed before the next guests arrive.
Please bring the key to the house when you’re leaving or if we’re not in, leave it in the cottage with the door unlocked.
Heating and hot water
The heating and hot water in your cottage is set to make sure you’re warm and comfortable during your stay.
Heating
The individual radiators are each controlled by a thermostatic control valve. The heating will be available (except when it’s hot in the summer) from 0700-0930 and from 1730-2200 (longer when it’s cold). If you think the overall temperature needs adjusting, please let us know.
The rooms downstairs have underfloor heating which is set to keep the rooms at a comfortable temperature. You can increase or decrease the temperature with the arrows on the thermostat in the hallway but please be aware that you may not feel an immediate change as it is a water- based system and takes time to respond.
However, please don’t change any of the times or other settings on the thermostat. It’s been pro- grammed for the weather conditions and to make sure your stay is comfortable.
Hot water
The hot water will be on and available from 0630-1030 and from 1630-2230 every day. Again, if you feel it needs adjusting, please let us know. We’ll be happy to sort it for you.
