MACRON STORE CARDIFF
NEW KIT SUPPLIERS
Brecon RFC are pleased to announce that MACRON STORE CARDIFF will be their new kit suppliers for the coming season.
The new season will see the club kitted out with a new bespoke playing kit that maintains the club's familiar colour scheme with some added Italian style thrown into the mix. This will also carry over for the entire club and eventually; all teams playing under the banner of Brecon RFC will be wearing Macron kit. There will also be a range of off-field leisurewear for players and supporters developed.
All of this will be available to the supporters through an online club shop that will go live as we get closer to the new season and will contain a full range of playing kit, replica tops and leisurewear available for supporters to purchase.
The Club have taken on board some of the comments made during the last kit deal and in Macron we have selected a company that provide a quality product that is slightly cheaper and can be delivered considerably quicker. There will be fitting evenings arranged and there will also be some products available in the Club for sizing before you place your orders on line which will then be delivered directly to you.
The online shop is up and running and you canseetherangeofkitat http://macron storecardiff.co.uk/club-shops/brecon-rfc-1

EIFION ‘ENGINE’ DAVIES CHARITY MATCH
BRECONSHIRE RUGBY REMEMBERS A SPECIAL MAN
On Saturday 13th May we were proud to host a charity match in memory of one of our most popular members and ex-players Eifion. The two sides were made up of former players from all the teams Engine played for over the years and were coached by Former Welsh internationals Jeremy Pugh, Phil Pugh and ex Brecon colleagues Alan Williams and Don Howe.
Engine played for Brecon RFC from 1979 and remained involved with the club right up until he lost his battle to cancer in March 2016 aged 59. During his playing career he also played for Breconshire County RFC, Ebbw Vale, Llanwrtyd and Builth RFC.
After the game Julie said: "It was totally emotional and enjoyable. It was an incredible day and the game was played the way Eifion played rugby which was enjoyable but hard."
Engines son and daughter Chele and Sean were both heavily involved in the planning and organisation of the day and Sean also found enough time and energy to lace up his boots and play.
A charity auction followed the match and funds raised for Macmillan Nurses, the Velindre cancer hospital in Cardiff, St David’s Hospice (Usk House), which operates across south Powys and the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust for Injured Players. The amount raised from the day was £25,000.00.
The family paid tribute and special thanks to Brecon RFC, Sharon for preparing the food, Tony Davies for refereeing, Ryan Williams and Chris “Mavis” Davies for conducting the Auction and all the sponsors and prize donors who had generously supported the event.
They have also asked us to thank EVERYONE for attending and their incredible support in making the day such a success.
