BRECON RFC
MEMBERSHIP 2017 – 2018
Building on from hard work done by others in recent years, we plan a drive for membership for the 2017 season across all ages and categories. So far we have:
• Designed new membership forms
• Assembled the existing information into one database
• Identified key individuals at age level to help us ensure that players and families are members and so part of our wider family
We aim to get e-mail addresses for as many members or potential members as possible, so that we may send out generic messages to all of our members. To help, we have added a gap for email addresses on each of the membership forms.
In what way do we need your help? First, prompt return of membership forms would be much appreciated. Second, if you could think of individuals who were members or who might be members in the future, please let us know. In some cases, we have lost contact with previous members and where we have the contact details for lapsed members some very polite emails invit- ing them to re-join will be sent out over the coming weeks. For members who represent age groups, including senior teams and youth, help in identifying (and gently cajoling!) members will be appreciated. People who don’t like using emails should not be deterred either, and good old- fashioned surface postage is as good a way as any to fling forms around the county.
We are very keen to involve more people in the running of the club. So new members with admin expertise or experience, those who know about marketing, publishing, business or maintenance – the list is very long - anyone who can bring something extra to the club and who doesn’t mind putting in a few hours now and then are most welcome. If you know some people in this category (whether current members or not), let us know! It is not necessary that members are rugby experts: a passion to help us continue to provide a successful community-based rugby club is all that is required.
HOW DO PEOPLE JOIN?
For players including minis and juniors
Coaches will have received the relevant membership form and will issue them to you.
If you are not a player in the senior firsts, seconds or youth, then don’t forget to tick the ‘family member’ box.
For individuals
Download the membership form from the website. They can be accessed through THE CLUB and MEMBERSHIP part of the website, or by using this link
http://www.breconrfc.co.uk/pages/b4cbcb74-8394-44df-845c-47b70391fc72/membership
We will provide hard copies upon request.
Filling and returning the forms
• First, fill in the form and sign, including the contact details and your e-mail address - neatly written please to reduce guesswork!
• Second, include your payment (preferably by cheque) and give payment and form to either your age group representative or to myself, Ron Rowsell or Andy Lewis at the club; or send by post to me: Rhobert Lewis BRFC, 56 Beacons Park, Brecon LD3 9BQ
Finally, a plea. The more members we have, the more things the club can do. So have a think and see if you can persuade that neighbour or friend to join for the 2017 season!
Thank you!
