An early start to catch the rising sun when we reach the top of Garway Common Hill in this quiet area of Herefordshire.
There is a trig point where we can settle down to see the morning sun rise from the east, weather permitting of course. When it is light we continue across the Common and around the environs of Garway. Returning, we will share a warming drink and a BBQ breakfast roll.

From the beautiful village of Cradley, we walk through this wonderful countryside past Cockshot Hill to the Mathon Estate and then on to the lovely hamlet of Mathon in the lea of the Malverns with its Norman church.
On to Westfields, where the Cradley Brook divides it from the historic village of Cradley and its ford at Pound Bridge capable of taking carts, ending at Old Cradley where a scrumptious cream tea provided by the WI awaits.
