Come and find out about Monmouthshire's fascinating history at one of our great local museums in the county's thriving towns. Busy programme of exhibitions and
family activities.
The National Park is full of heritagehere are two of our favourite spots in Brecon.
Within Brecon Cathedral is the Havard Chapel where there is a roll of honour commemorating all those who died in the two World Wars. You can also see the original colours of the 1st Battalion, the 24th Regiment of foot which served with distinction during the Zulu war of 1879.
Whilst visiting Brecon go to the Regimental Museum of The Royal Welsh (Brecon) to see one of the finest collection of military artefacts telling the story of a Regiment that has participated in many great events of British History in the last 300 years.
