I am a rugby fan and enjoy that environment. I love the social side of the club and this is where my friends socialise. My family have long been associated with Brecon RFC.
What would you say to someone considering volunteering at our club?
Volunteering is an important and essential contribution for the club, and could not survive without like minded people giving of their time and effort. We have a vision of how to move forward and would welcome help from people with different skills and new idea’s. If you would like to come and see what we are all about, there is always a warm welcome at our club house.

I have been associated with the club since my schooldays. After nishing work and returning to live in Brecon I have got involved again with the Club as
a volunteer.

Over the years I have been a Player and more recently undertook the role of Club Secretary.

My current role has a wide range of activities which cover Caretaker / Assistant Grounds man and Assistant Maintenance man.

The role is varied but generally involves cleaning the changing rooms, toilets and pavilion and any general day-to-day maintenance required at the Pavillion and the Clubhouse.
How many hours a week do you help our club Between 10 and 15 hours a week.
What do you enjoy about your role?
I enjoy being down the pavilion, having the responsibility to get on with a variety of tasks things and meeting people (I didn’t know that it was such a meeting place for club members!!!!!!).
What would you say to someone considering volunteering at our club?
The club needs as many members and non-members to be involved as volunteers as possible because there are always plenty of things to be done. The only way the club will move on and keep it’s identity is if local people get involved. Brecon RFC is a great club to be involved with, there are certainly plenty of characters to keep you smiling!!
