Stain removal:
• Soakwhitesinabucketofvanishifneeded.
• Checkclothesforstainsbeforewashing(hightemperaturessetthestain).
• Thereareassortedstainremoversinthelaundry.
• Chocolates,milkandbloodstainsneedtobewashedwithcoldwaterfirst.
Then use the appropriate stain treatment.
• Whenindoubtoftheappropriatecourseofaction,checkwiththeChiefStewardess.
Ironing & folds:
• IroninghastobedonePERFECTLYforallguestitems.
• Captainspersonalsmustbeironed.
• Serviceclothsmustbeironed.
• Alluniformmustbeironed.
• Allitemshaveastandardfold.
• Donotputcreases/pleatsdowntrousers/pantsiftheydonotneedthem.
E.g., Jeans, cargo pants, etc.
• Guestclothesaretobegivenspecialattention.Hangtrousers,shorts,skirtsandshirts.
Fold polos, t-shirts and lingerie, unless told otherwise.
• Irontablelinenwhilststilldamp,andlightlystarched.Thereisastandardwayof
folding them.
Extra notes:
• Nofoodordrink(exceptionofwater)inthelaundryatanytime.
• Turntheironoffwhenleavingthelaundryforaperiodoftime.
• Whenturningtheironbackon,ironthefirstitemunderneatharagtoensure
no brown water spits out and damages garments.
