GWERNYFED CONFIRM IT’S COMMITMENT TO GRASS ROOTS COMMUNITY RUGBY
Gwernyfed are delighted to accept the kind donation of private sponsors Mr and Mrs Paul Brewer who have agreed to purchase the shirts for our Under 7 an Under 8 teams on an annual basis.
Originally, Paul approached the club a few years ago when he moved to the area and sponsored the club through his business Cardiff City Services. However, when he sold the business he asked us how he could still support the club in some way.
Chairman Rob Stephens and the Club’s Sponsorship Team soon identified a means of continued sponsorship - with the youngest section of the club benefitting as they embark on their fantastic fledgling journey into rugby. Money invested is at the heart of any club and youngsters are the future of all clubsm so we are delighted as they will soon be, when their new shirts arrive ready for the forthcoming season.
A solid investment for sure and a full clubhouse of shiny smiley faces is the club’s aim, so we are extremely grateful to the Brewer family us to provide for our next generation. At the heart of our clubs ethos, strength of Rugby at Grassroots is something we are all proud of at GRFC.

WHERE OUR MONEY GOES...
Its been a better year all round financially. The bar showed a profit on last year even with the fewer matches we had from many sections within the club. We had many changes within the club helped by the staff to implement and created less expenditure.
The lottery did well with the small band of volunteers. Memberships were stable. We were able to offer more international tickets and they were all allocated without a loss. Due to tighter control on the cashflow we made significant savings throughout the club. Inventories have been taken of kit and equipment resulting in reduced costs. There were three sponsor days and a trip out for the VP's. These went well and we have decided to repeat these next season. We have cancelled our Sky subscribtion, fitted fibre recently had a new TV system installed - all of which will show in next years savings.
