NICHOLAS BOOTHMAN
“Once you are filled to the brim with your
attributes and talents, you are ready to be born. But
here's the catch: just before you leave, the powers-that-
be tear up your slip of paper and wipe your conscious
memory.
“And so, here you find yourself with an
unshakeable sense that you were meant for more. You
may find yourself drawn to certain professions, or
certain causes, without quite knowing why. You may
have a talent or a skill that seems to come naturally,
without any formal training. All the while, that sense
of purpose burns within you, driving you ever
forward, even as you struggle to understand what it all
means.
“So, here you are, knowing deep down that you are
uniquely equipped for something, but you haven't a
clue what it is. Not consciously.
“By the time we leave this place, you’ll know what
was on that slip of paper. Your Purpose Statement. And
with that? Things change. A path starts to appear. You
begin to see that life? It’s not just happening to you. It’s
happening for you.
“So Julia, give me seven words to describe you.”
