These probably don't mean a thing to you, right?
But Ralph Lauren, the fashion icon, started his whole
empire turning scraps of fabric into artistic ties. Called
them Polo and sold them to little shops in New York.
His purpose? To find beauty and bring it to the world
through clothes. Fast forward. Ralph Lauren's worth?
Over eight billion dollars. Purpose. Powerful stuff.
“I challenge the status quo and design products
that are beautiful and user friendly” did mean the
world to Steve Jobs. And he was inspired to produce
computers and phones and subsequently much more.
“We change the world through stories” does mean
the world to the founders of TED talks.
