stranger?” Eric asked after a few moments.
“No. Could you?” Selina fired back.
“Yes and no,” Eric said. “When I was growing up,
I’d talk to pretty much anyone – within reason. But
actually, I never really knew what to say.” No-one
spoke so Eric carried on. “I had this friend Bill. We
were both about twelve and he could talk and talk to
anyone anywhere. I used to think if I could just catch
some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth and use
it myself it would be great. But hey, it doesn’t work
that way.”
Ben broke the silence. “I guess back then it was
probably a lot safer because now it’s dangerous.” He
looked around. “Sort of.”
“I feel like because of the internet, I don’t know,”
Lilly said. “I feel like back then people were nicer.”
“More friendly.” Ben nodded to the girls.
“Because they didn’t have all the technology,” Anna
said
“And more respectful to people,” said Lilly.
“More outgoing,” added Anna
“For me, having a sister and being like me I find it
