so much better than trying to sit at the top of the
garden in the rain, or walk up to Picker Field, an-
other fabulous town name, to fine a signal, to make
or get a call one has to drive to the local deli, sit in
the car and catch theirs for a few minutes, but such
is country life, needless to say there’s a huge
amount of history behind this wonderful home,
called “Coley Court” I was met by a lovely lady Ja-
nine, who made me feel so welcome, I got to meet
the client, a wonderful 95 year old very much ”Lady
of the Manor” the only difference was that his lady
was on “Palliative Care” and that’s the reason I’m
here, working with another carer on a 24hr rotation
and the change over happened, we talked as I’d
learnt in training, one sits and we talk about the
clients needs etc, and was right into it, following her
with the routine. we had a really wonderful few
days getting to know each other, and I so liked her,
not just as a person, but her genuine caring nature,
and her humor, I was feeling rather good and con-
fident now, I learn to cook on the woodstove, so
easy and with such wonderful results, wow
