The Expectation Effect
Did you ever notice that everyone’s a stranger until
they’re not? Each with their own struggles, and their
own triumphs, and their own messages. And yet, it's
often the people we least expect, the ones we pass on
the street or sit next to us on a bench, who can have the
most profound impact on our lives.
Life can be a messy, unpredictable, and downright
scary place at times, but even in the midst of craziness,
amazing things can happen. Strangers can become
saviors, and chance encounters and lucky breaks can
appear out of the blue.
The Expectation Effect, also known as the
Pygmalion Effect, the Placebo Effect, or the Law of
Attraction, is a powerful phenomenon where our
thoughts and beliefs shape our reality. When we expect
