Acme Corp. He’s having his
first meeting with the new
regional head of sales from
the district west of his. He
found out that they were
both going to be passing
through O’Hare Airport at
the same time and arranged
for them to meet during
their layovers. John wants to compare notes and go over
the new order forms he had a hand in developing.
John is a member of the airline’s executive club, and
as his flight was scheduled to arrive forty minutes ahead
of Sandy’s, he arranged to meet her there. He is a sensible

“John Stevenson?” He looked up from the copy of
Fortune he’d been studying to see an energetic, grinning
woman in a canary yellow suit standing in front of him,
juggling two shoulder bags and a briefcase, in case she had
to shake hands.
“Sandy?”
“Yes.” She nodded vigorously.
“Please sit down. I thought you said you weren’t a
member. I was going to—”
