Invest in clothes that are an excellent fit and favor your
proportions. Find colors that make you look healthy,
fresh, and vibrant, and develop a style to accentuate your
personality and your potential. If you can’t afford the most
expensive tailored suits, splurge on accessories. Buy the
very best purse, scarf, briefcase, or shoes you can afford.
When we shot low-end merchandise, we frequently used
props that cost much more than the outfits, and it made a
tremendous difference. The right accessory can make you
look better dressed than you are.
Acting the Part
Two years after my adventures in London with Francis
Xavier Muldoon, I found myself in Cape Town, South
Africa, reporting for work on my first day with the Cape
