didn't need. She realized how much stuff she'd
accumulated, how much of it was just weighing her
down.
She connected with her neighbors. She met people
she'd never spoken to before, bonding over their
shared experience of the flood. She discovered a sense
of community she hadn't known existed.
She learned to be more flexible. She had to adjust
her schedule, her plans, her expectations. She
discovered that she was more adaptable than she
thought.
