She felt a flutter of nerves. What had she gotten
herself into?
Inside, she met the others. A mix of friends and
strangers. They were all smiling, excited. The energy
was infectious.
The game began. The door slammed shut. They
were locked in a room filled with puzzles, clues, and
hidden messages.
The clock started ticking.
Billie felt a surge of adrenaline. This wasn't work.
This wasn't stress. This was… fun.
They worked together, solving riddles, cracking
codes, searching for clues. Billie found herself
laughing, shouting, high-fiving strangers.
For a few hours, she forgot about Project Phoenix.
She forgot about deadlines. She forgot about the
weight of the world.
She was just… present. In the moment. Enjoying
the challenge, the camaraderie, the sheer thrill of the
unknown.
They escaped with minutes to spare.
