The sheer volume of it was enough to trigger a
panic attack. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of
tasks, with no hope of ever reaching the shore.
She'd been trying to be more organized, more
efficient. She'd used different apps, different systems,
different planners. But the to-do list always won. It
always seemed to multiply faster than she could cross
things off.
She felt a familiar wave of stress wash over her. The
pressure of all these unfinished tasks, the constant
feeling of being behind, was overwhelming.
She remembered a conversation she'd had with a
mentor, years ago. He'd said, "Focus on what you've
done, not just what you have to do."
At the time, it had sounded like a nice sentiment.
But now, it felt like a revelation.
What if she focused on her accomplishments
instead of her obligations? What if she created a
"done" list?
