It was a radical overhaul of her lifestyle. It felt…
restrictive. But Billie was desperate. She was willing
to try anything.
She transformed her bedroom into a sleep
sanctuary. She invested in blackout curtains, a white
noise machine, and a comfortable mattress.
She established a bedtime ritual. A warm bath, a
few gentle yoga stretches, and a chapter of a relaxing
novel.
She enforced the digital sunset. It was painful at
first. The urge to check her phone was almost
unbearable. But she resisted.
She stuck to the caffeine cutoff. She discovered
herbal teas and the joy of being caffeine-free in the
afternoon.
She followed the consistency rule. It was tough on
weekends, but she kept at it.
She implemented the worry window. She
scheduled 30 minutes each day to address her
concerns, to make plans, to take action. And then, she
let them go.
Slowly, gradually, something amazing happened.
She started to sleep.
