He looked at the image of Evelyn now recovering,
her face serene.
"You may have won this battle, Doctor," he
murmured, "But the war is far from over. And I will
ensure that 'Deep Rest' becomes your greatest
nightmare."
He rose, a dark, dangerous silhouette against the
screen. He had lost his power, but he had gained a
singular, consuming purpose: to destroy Evelyn and
everything she stood for.
The awakening had come. But so had the
reckoning. And The Director was just getting started.
