struggle. It’s like you’ve stopped trying to swim upstream
and have finally turned around to flow with the current.
The right people just show up. The most brilliant
ideas just pop into your head. The resources you need
seem to land right in your lap. It’s not that you gave up
on your own dreams—it’s that you made your dream so
big it had room for everyone else, too. And life rushes in
to support a dream like that. You finally understand that
success isn't something you have to chase. It's something
that happens to you and through you, spontaneously, the
moment you decide to be a source of good for the world.
It’s called altruism. And the most beautiful, most
relieving part of it all? It’s been waiting for you all along.
It isn't some new, difficult skill you have to learn. It's
not another mountain you have to climb. It's more like
coming home. It’s the realization that you've been trying
to pick a very complicated lock, when the key has been in
your pocket the entire time.
It has been waiting for you through all the struggle,
all the striving, all the nights you wondered why things
felt so hard. Every time you felt like you were pushing
against a locked door, that was just a sign that you were
at the wrong door. The universe wasn't punishing you; it
was gently trying to guide you toward the entrance that
has always been wide open.
