fitted out with all the attributes and talents you‘ll need to
accomplish your purpose.
Depending on what you‘ve written, they might grant
you patience, caring, courage, humor, organizational
skills, eloquence, a flair for languages, drawing or music,
etc.—whatever you‘ll need.
Once you are filled to the brim with your attributes
and talents, you are ready to be born. But here's the
catch: just before you leave, the powers-that-be tear up
your slip of paper and wipe your conscious memory.
And so you enter the world with an unshakeable
sense that you were meant for more locked up inside you.
You may find yourself drawn to certain professions or
certain causes without quite knowing why. You may
have a talent or a skill that seems to come naturally,
without any formal training. All the while, that sense of
purpose burns within you, driving you ever forward,
even as you struggle to understand what it all means.
So, here you are, knowing deep down that you are
uniquely equipped for something, but you haven't a clue
what it is. Not consciously, at least.
By the time you reach the end of this book, you'll
uncover the unique message inscribed on your
metaphorical slip of paper: your Purpose Statement.
With this newfound clarity, a path will begin to emerge,
