A Holy Man
"It was there, in that rat infested hole, that I met a
holy man. His name was Raghu. Clad in a long brown
woolen cloak with a hood, there was something
otherworldly about him. The cell was dingy and grim,
but despite the bleak surroundings, there was something
'delightful' about the figure before me. I'm usually never
at a loss for words, but this man left me speechless.”
"A holy man in the City of Darkness?” Casilda said.
Why did you trust him, Thomas? Was it his words, or
some kind of feeling?"
“He’d scratched five simple words in English on the
cell wall: 'Stop looking and start seeing.' Those words
eventually became my mantra, guiding me through the
darkness and shaping the rest of my adventures.
“He said, ‘Life's not about finding your future; it's
about your future finding you,’ and he really got me
thinking. It's like, instead of always chasing after what
