               Abstract
               The aim of this study was to identify the trends of students towards the use of distance learning
      in undergraduate courses at the College of Education, King Saud University, as well as to identify the
      difficulties faced by students in the application of distance learning. This was a descriptive study
      conducted in the second semester of 1439-1440. A sample of King Saud University students enrolled in
      distance education courses was targeted and a questionnaire was distributed to participants through
      their e-mail addresses stored in the University’s database. The data were analyzed using the Statistical
      Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The sample of the study included (231) students, they were
      all males and were randomly selected. The results showed an agreement towards distance learning and
      the majority of students expressed their enthusiasm to study courses by distant learning as long as they
      are available. In addition, the majority of students reported that distance learning gives students
      autonomy in learning. On the other hand, most students expressed a desire to raise awareness of the
      importance of distance learning for students and that it was one of the greatest difficulties faced by
      this type of education.
