FINAL NOTES
With our experience globally, we think South Africa is currently in
a good position regarding pig farming. Production costs in China
and Europe and even in North and South America are very high.
Trade constraints make it challenging to move meat, and lastly,
the reality of African Swine Fever make it very difficult to farm. In
China specifically, current input prices on production costs are
more than double our pricing, but their carcass prices are the
same, resulting in huge losses.
Our goal at SwiNE is to ensure our clients have profitable
businesses keeping production costs low and outputs high. When
our clients’ business grows, it gives us at SwiNE room to grow as
a company too. This has been the case for us in 2021 and we
would like to thank you for your continuous support and being a
part of the SwiNE family throughout 2021.
