  Foundation Art
  On Thursday
29th June, as a
part of Harvest’s Art program, the Foundation class were encouraged to draw Piranha fish using fluorescent highlighters.
Their Art Teacher, Mrs Nicholls, then took the class along to the College’s Performing Arts Centre and drew the curtains to darken the room.
The students were then able to see how their artwork came to life under a black light.
  Children’s University
We have 44 students from Harvest signed up to participate in the Children’s University program this year. Many of our participants have been diligently collecting and logging hours of their extended learning throughout these holidays.
Students participating for the first time, need a minimum of 30 hours, and those participating the second time need an accumulative minimum total of 65 hours.
Students have been busy visiting the library in Port Pirie, participating in the Mini Comic Creation and Paint a Galaxy workshops using Japanese water paints. Other students have been visiting local places like the Kadina Farmshed. Many other students have been completing various activities provided by the Children’s University online portal, such as creating a design for the upcoming women’s FIFA World Cup, cooking hamburgers, and creating snowflakes. The activities are endless! Keep up the amazing learning everyone!
