Energy, Mining & Resources
On Wednesday of Week 10 Term 3, some of Harvest’s Year 9 and 10 students visited The University of Adelaide’s North Terrace Campus for the Energy, Mining & Resources School Outreach Program. The students explored a range of STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics) career opportunities by engaging in hands-on workshops.
One of the workshops involved taking gravity measurements in the field and designing a way for a programmable robot to escape a ‘crater’.
They also toured several key research facilities on campus including an anechoic chamber. The students enjoyed the experience and we commend them for coming along on a ‘student-free day’.
