thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the
daughter of Babylon.”
Abounding love, like the love of a mother for
her firstborn, is heard in the words of Jehovah:
“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! for lo, I
come. I will dwell in the midst of thee.” Christ’s
first and his second coming were both
promised then, and would doubtless have
followed in quick succession had Israel
heeded.
Throughout all the world the glory of the Lord
should be seen upon Zion, daughter of the
living God. “I am returned unto Zion, and will
dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and
JERUSALEM SHALL BE CALLED A CITY OF
