THE NEW JERUSALEM

Where wast thou when I laid the basis of the

earth?

Declare: if thou art acquainted with

understanding.

Who planned her measurement, if thou

knowest?

Or who stretched forth the measuring line

upon her?

Into what were her sockets sunk?

Or who laid her key-stone,

While the morning stars exulted together,

And all the sons of God shouted for joy?
