“I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and
floods upon the dry ground” so, “Sow to
yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy;
break up your fallow ground: for it is time to
seek the Lord, till he come and rain
righteousness upon you” (Isaiah 44:3; Hosea
10:12).
Reflections:
At the announcement of the Savior birth, the
leaders in Israel were passed by because they
failed to watch, wait, pray, work, and let
nothing be done through strife and vainglory.
They had not been true to their trust. Their
hearts were engrossed with selfishness and
worldliness, and was not prepared for the
revelation of the Messiah.
Today, millions of people have heard about
Jesus, who He claimed to be and what He has
done, yet, they have not believed in Him.
