THE STORY OF DANIEL THE PROPHET

                 “But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand in thy
                                   lot at the end of the days.” Daniel 12:13.


               which  they  live,  and  know  what  is  about  to


               come on the earth.



               To  the  student  of  prophecy,  the  seventh


               chapter of Daniel is a most important record.


               By a continuous chain of events, the prophet


               gives the history from the days of Babylon to


               the great investigative judgment, which is the


               central theme of the chapter.



               The fact that God could open the future to a



               heathen                 king             was            remarkable.                      To


               Nebuchadnezzar  the  future  of  earthly


               governments  only  was  shown,  because  he


               himself  was  earthly,  and  was  incapable  of


               grasping  higher  things;  but  to  Daniel  God


               opened  scenes  in  heaven.  Although  the


               prophet  was  shown  the  history  of  nations,


               the  angel  of  revelation  touched  briefly  on
