THE STORY OF DANIEL THE PROPHET

                 “But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand in thy
                                   lot at the end of the days.” Daniel 12:13.


               record  something  which  corresponds  to  the


               skeleton in the human body, and the flesh and


               organs of life need to be put in. These nations


               which were then in existence were a shelter,


               perhaps,  a  scaffolding,  built  about  God’s


               people, offering them another opportunity to


               work.  The  Spirit  of  God  was  working  in  the


               courts of monarchs as faithfully as ever. At the


               same time the controversy between truth and


               error never for a moment abated.



               It  might  seem  to  the  casual  observer  that


               Greece was not in reality a ruling power in the



               sense  that  Babylon  and  Medo-Persia  were


               universal  monarchies.  Let  us  see:  From  the


               first  it  has  been  noted  that  Greece  was  an


               intellectual ruler rather than a power which


               held the bodies of men in slavery. If we may
