His soon return. So, live soberly, righteously,

and godly in this present world, and look for

the glorious appearing of the great God and

our Saviour Jesus Christ. {cf. UL 61; RC 258}.

Thought Question:

Israel was ready to exclaim, “The days are

prolonged, and every vision faileth” (Ezekiel

12:22). What is the meaning of this

proclamation to you today? You have heard

the preaching of the second coming of Christ

for many years. Will you echo in modern

critical terms what Israel said 600 years

before Jesus Christ was born?

• We have been hearing for many years of

Jesus’ second coming.

• There have always been wars and famines

and pestilences.

• All things continue as they were.
