THE STORY OF THE SEER OF PATMOS

                                             Stephen N. Haskell

“Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at
                                              hand” Revelation 22:10.

John looked again toward the temple; for

while he had, prophetically seen the

culmination, the end had not yet fully come.

He sees the seven angels waiting, and to them

are given, by one of the four living creatures,

seven vials of wrath. So complete is the

acknowledgment of the justice of all God’s

ways that when Christ proclaims, “He that is

unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is

filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is

righteous, let him be righteous still,” there is

no longer any opportunity for man to change

his course, or retrace his steps, the vials which

contain destruction for the wicked, are placed

in the hands of the angels by one of the four

living creatures, representing man in the

court of heaven. Man is judged by fellow-man,
