John looked again toward the temple; for
while he had, prophetically seen the
culmination, the end had not yet fully come.
He sees the seven angels waiting, and to them
are given, by one of the four living creatures,
seven vials of wrath. So complete is the
acknowledgment of the justice of all God’s
ways that when Christ proclaims, “He that is
unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is
filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is
righteous, let him be righteous still,” there is
no longer any opportunity for man to change
his course, or retrace his steps, the vials which
contain destruction for the wicked, are placed
in the hands of the angels by one of the four
living creatures, representing man in the
court of heaven. Man is judged by fellow-man,
